Our journey began with a powerful realization. During monsoons, countless children in rural India miss school simply because they lack basic necessities like a bag to protect their books. At the same time, India generates enormous amounts of textile waste each year. These two challenges, seemingly unrelated, sparked an idea that would address both issues while making a lasting impact on lives and the environment.
Our Story
At Threads4Good, we saw an opportunity to create meaningful change by transforming waste into something purposeful. By upcycling discarded textiles into durable school bags, we provide underprivileged children with the tools to continue their education, even during challenging monsoon seasons. But our story doesn’t end there. Recognizing the potential to create a deeper impact, we also focus on empowering marginalized individuals. By employing widowed women and the specially-abled, we offer them not just a livelihood but a chance to rebuild their lives with dignity, independence, and purpose.
